Match the display to the console and games

Check the console’s supported video modes and the display inputs before buying. A competitive game may benefit from a higher refresh mode, while story-focused games may make image quality and screen size more important.

Plan audio around how you play

A headset is useful for voice chat and private play. Speakers or a soundbar can make more sense for a shared living-room setup. Confirm how audio reaches the device because televisions, monitors, controllers, and consoles offer different connection options.

Storage and game library

Modern games can consume substantial storage. Before buying expansion storage, check what your specific console supports and whether the storage can run current-generation games directly or is intended mainly for storage and transfer.

Build around the room

Leave ventilation space around the console and avoid blocking vents. Cable length, controller charging, seating distance, and where accessories live can make a setup easier to use every day without requiring expensive upgrades.

LoadoutLens rule: Upgrade the part that solves a real limitation in your setup. A more expensive part is not automatically a better purchase for you.

Product specifications and prices change. Verify current specifications, compatibility, warranty terms, and pricing with the manufacturer or retailer before purchasing.
